Oh, what an inspiration-weekend ...

JULIE  KVAMME won the visitor`s prize as well as first prize in the
competition for traditional quilts. It is called "The Monster Wave"

Here is the winner of Open Class quilt. ELI TJETLAND made
"after the storm comes extreme-weather" (very free translation by me).

Kathrines Quiltestue won the prize for the best shop:
here  a picture in the corner of her shop represented with a picture of
MayBritt`s quilt pattern by Sue Daley.

Well, a lovely and hectic weekend has passed as the yearly
Norwegian Quilt Meet  is over. Winners of all categories of quilts have
received  their prizes.  Please check Abyquilt and Hannequilt for perfect pictures
of most of all quilts.  (glad they are blog-experts!!)

Joanna Figueroa from Fig Tree brought like 10 tons of gorgeous quilts
for us to enjoy. Her show and tell was amazing.
She also held several classes during this weekend.

Here is my work-class-teacher Ann, the designer name AnnAKa.
The committee had arranged for about 15 different teachers to give
classes. Next to half me you see 2 of my Tuesday-group friends:
Gudrun and Berit. Spending 8 hours with Ann over two days
was great. Her table-runner on the left and my start on the right:-)

Shops from almost all over Norway were joined together in an
enormous hall. Love my few  buys this year ... lol ....

Fabrics for a bag-to-be, machin-needles and rotary blade,
and "Civil War"fabrics for making a table-topper. I bought the
pattern some months back when Sue Daley visited Norway. Oddbjørg
and I will both  make the bag and the runner one of these days :))

We visited all shops,Oddbjørg and I. Here we stopped at Anne Heidi`s shop
"LAPPEMOR".  Anne Heidi  has resently made the gorgeous quilt
" Scrappy Trip  around the World" you can see on the wall.

Finally I must show you my contribution for the Norwegian Quilt Association
celebrating 25 years this year. In our logo colours:black, red, white and blue
our task were to make a quilt with any pattern you wanted. 26 gorgeous
and very different styled wall-quilts will be shown on the Festival of Quilts
in Birmingham,UK in August this year. It means you will see mine up
there on the wall there if you are visiting the Festival take the trip:-)
I have called mine "Pleasure of a Membership".

Better practise more with the freezing paper now. Struggling
abit really, but nice to try. Till next time Happy Sewing :))
