Pinwheel squares, wild Spring-flowers and a secret .....

The pinwheel table cloth is now just waiting for the border.
I have used a charm pack from Joanna Figueroa`s "Butterscotch and Rose"
 fabric range and added the whitish  fabric to go with it.
Big decision to make now when choosing the border,
 but I `m bound soon to find the right one:))

And yes, lovely days have passed since I made last post.
Our national day, the 17th of May,  was ever so enjoyable minute
 by minute .We were lucky with the weather, and everybody close was
 as happy as could  be!  Now the warm sun as well as some rain has
 helped the flowers in the garden to bloom little by little :-)

I love picking the first wild flowers during Spring time.
Here they are! Done as wall hangings in ceramics designed by a
 famous  Swedish company many years ago. The company has made about
20 different wild flower-pictures. Below from nature itself.
 "HESTEHOV" :
A real good close up of one of the ones below.
Nice to have inside for a day or two, good match to my Seminole-table runner!
"HVITVEIS" :
Another close up for the white Anemone flower, some of these white
ones have the  tint of red this year and they seem to show more greenish
 than  yellow colour in the middle.
Love the specific smell of the Anemones, reminding me
of my days when  I was a young girl picking these for my Granny.

Here is the most precious one of the three. Now prohibited to
bring home on root. I have heard talk about that you must not pick
it either as they spread their seeds after they die in the woods.
"BLÅVEIS":
Another lovely close up.
These flowers have the most beautiful blue colour, I just love them.

Well, back to business again : a secret soon to be revealed...lol...
Please come back and check what I have been up to :))

The thing is I have joined Madame SAM this month in the blog hop
" SAY IT WITH FLOWERS".
On Thursday May 30 my little something will be on my blog.
 Looking forward to show you :-) Enjoy you sewing! Hugs from Grethe.

Beautiful flowers and a beautiful quilt.

The flowers are beautiful-- the deep blue is stunning-- a colour that is almost impossible to reproduce when painting or sewing.

What pretty flowers - especially the blue ones. And I love your pinwheels. I have two charms packs of Butterscotch and Roses, so I may copy your idea.

Sweet pinwheels and wonderful photos of the wild spring flowers. All those grow here too, and I remember picking them to my mother (except the white anemone, didn't grow where I lived then). Here too the blue one is protected.

Your pinwheel cloth is gorgeous, Grethe; the fabric range you have used is so pretty. Your flower photos too are lovely - does the first flower photo show a set of tiles? It's very nice. I too love that blue wildflower.

Nydelig Pinwheelteppe.
